How To Use

Evening use only. Apply to clean skin two times per week. Gradually increase usage as your skin permits, e.g. 3 times per week. Apply a non-pore clogging moisturizer after application. If your skin becomes too dry or irritated, give your skin a break for several days and then resume with less frequency.

Pro tip: To reduce dehydration, mix RESET with HERO moisturizer in a 1:1 ratio before applying to skin. To avoid an increase in pigmentation and inflammation, you must wear SPF 30+ sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight while using this product. Using more than one acne product at the same time may cause irritation and dryness. Benzoyl peroxide bleaches clothing.

Keep out of reach of children. For topical use only. Avoid using around your eyes and lips. Perform a small test near your jawline 24 hours before applying to your entire face. If you experience trouble swallowing or your tongue, eyes or lips become swollen, seek emergency medical attention.

FAQs

Can benzoyl peroxide get rid of an acne spot overnight?

Benzoyl peroxide is a powerful active ingredient in many acne spot treatments, known for its quick action against acne breakouts. While it may not completely eliminate a spot overnight, it can significantly reduce skin irritation, redness, and the size of the blemish. For the best spot treatment results, apply a small amount directly to the acne spot before bed, and you might wake up to a less noticeable pimple. However, results can vary based on the severity of the acne breakout and your skin type.

Still curious whether benzoyl peroxide is good for acne, read on to learn more.

Is spot treatment good for pimples?

Absolutely! A spot treatment, our gentle RESET ACNE TREATMENT GEL 2.8%, is an excellent method for targeting individual pimples without over-drying the surrounding skin. By focusing on specific blemishes, spot treatments can deliver concentrated doses of active ingredients like benzoyl peroxide directly where needed, effectively reducing the appearance of acne blemishes. This targeted approach makes it ideal for those with acne-prone skin, as it helps manage breakouts without irritating the rest of your skin. Learn more about whether benzoyl peroxide is good for acne in our blog.

Which percentage of benzoyl peroxide is better?

Choosing the right percentage of benzoyl peroxide depends on your skin type and the severity of your acne. For mild to moderate acne, 2.8% Benzoyl Peroxide is often sufficient to effectively target acne blemishes without causing excessive skin irritation. This lower concentration can be particularly beneficial for those with sensitive skin or individuals who are new to using benzoyl peroxide in their skin care routine.

For hormonal or cystic acne, 5 % benzoyl peroxide may offer a stronger option. It's potent enough to combat stubborn acne breakouts, yet it's still considered safe for regular use with minimal side effects. However, higher concentrations can sometimes lead to dryness or peeling, making it essential to rehydrate the skin.

Regardless of the concentration, incorporating products like the THIRSTY Hydrating Serum and applying the HERO Peptide Moisturizer morning and night can help to rehydrate and soothe the skin, balancing the powerful effects of benzoyl peroxide with necessary moisture and nourishment.

What shrinks pimples fast?

When it comes to quickly reducing the size of a pimple, an effective acne spot treatment is your best ally. Products containing benzoyl peroxide are particularly renowned for their ability to swiftly target and diminish acne-prone skin. This active ingredient works by killing bacteria, reducing skin irritation, and helping to remove dead skin cells that clog pores. For those seeking the best acne spot treatment, it's crucial to choose one that not only combats the blemish but also suits your skin type to prevent further skin irritation.
